What is PURSUE?
The Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE) is a historic U.S. government initiative launched on May 8, 2026, following a directive from President Trump in February 2026.
Under PURSUE, federal agencies including the Department of War, FBI, NASA, State Department, and National Archives are required to identify, review, and declassify records related to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).
The first batch of 169 files was released on war.gov/UFO, with additional releases planned on a rolling basis. This website makes those documents searchable, browsable, and analyzable by the public.
